About Us
Positioning and Model
Through the networks of funders and initiatives of the Social Impact Exchange, GPN seeks to connect evidence based, scale-ready nonprofits with the capital and other resources they need to scale their programs and solutions regionally and nationally. GPN focuses on large-scale, second-stage expansions that help successful organizations grow from 5 or more sites to 100 or more sites or reach significantly more individuals through other means of scaling impact, such as policy initiatives, product roll-outs, etc.
Most of the nonprofits that GPN assists, raise growth capital through a co-funding model, in which multiple funders (foundations, families and high-net-worth individuals) collaborate to jointly fund large-scale expansion initiatives while providing technical assistance to the management and Board (similar to the way that companies are financed in the forprofit sector).
GPN’s model focuses on the creation of a growth marketplace comprised of a network of national and local funders who contribute to scaling and expansion of high-impact nonprofits, as well as a pipeline of promising, high-performing, organizations seeking solutions to social problems in their communities. Marketplace development activities are primarily implemented through the Social Impact Exchange.
GPN seeks to collaborate with all participants in the philanthropy sector who are interested in supporting growth of proven programs. Learn about collaboration opportunities.
