Growth Philanthropy Network

Funders and Philanthropy Advisors

"To give away money is an easy matter and in everyone's power.  But to decide to whom to give it, and how large and when, and for what purpose and how, is neither in everyone's power nor an easy matter."— Aristotle

Growth Funders Network

GPN’s two primary funder GOALS are to:

1.
Help funders maximize impact on the issues they care most about

2.
Engage funders in compelling experiences, resulting in satisfying,
sustained involvement in organizations and issues they support

To accomplish its goals and drive social impact, GPN is developing a national network of philanthropic funders who invest in bringing select nonprofit programs to scale – i.e. “growth funders.” Funders in the network opt into reviewing several best-in-class expansion initiatives each year in their areas of funding. Network participants are interested in replicating proven solutions to problems they care about or bringing those solutions to their home cities.

Funders include: major foundations, individuals and families, local foundations, and philanthropy advisors.

Network Funders Receive:

  • Detailed Due Diligence on best-in-class social programs seeking to expand
  • Well-packaged expansion initiatives with clear value propositions
  • Business Plans and “Investor” presentations from NPOs that meet their interests
  • Opportunities to contribute to expansions locally, regionally or nationally
  • Regular progress reports on expansion results
  • Opportunities to engage with NPOs (Board, Advisories, Volunteering)
  • Opportunities to meet peer contributors and connect through an electronic platform
  • Opportunities to nominate NPOs to GPN for expansion assistance
